The type of base that comes with a HSL is CRUCIAL. Why? Because a seller who truly understands and actually uses the Himalayan Salt Lamp (HSL) will NOT provide their customers with anything else other than the marble base for Singapore's weather.

With the knowledge of Salt being hygroscopic, sellers who provide wooden bases are questionable. Especially knowing Singapore's humidity levels.

For instance, if HSL is switched off and under humid condition, it may produce moisture. The salt water will corrode wooden base overtime. Not to mention some sellers even provide bases with salt crystal mounted on with the base. What you will end up having are rusty screws & corroded wooden base.

We have quite a handful of customers who regretted purchasing HSL from other sources and made purchase of our lamps together with additional marble base to get rid of the impractical wooden base they previously had.

At SaltLight, every set of Himalayan Salt Lamp comes with a beautiful marble base with SG compatible 2 pin plug. In addition, our salt crystal is NOT mounted to base. This is an added plus because the separated Salt Crystal and marble base allow easy cleaning, storage and simple low maintenance of changing bulbs when needed.
